Courtney Paris was held to a season-low 12 points, but Leah Rush picked up the slack 17 as No. 22 Oklahoma won the Odwalla Classic with a 53-51 win over San Francisco Saturday night.
The Sooners, who led by as many as 15 points in the first half and 43-31 with 11:37 to go, got a bucket by Rush with 1:55 to go to end a USF run and push OU's lead back to 52-49.
The Dons then cut OU's lead back to 52-51 on a layup with 41 seconds to go, but Kendra Moore made one of two free throws on the Sooners' next possession to push the lead to 53-51, and then stole the ball with five seconds left to help secure the win.
With the win, the Sooners improve to 5-1. OU will return to the Lloyd Noble Center on Wednesday for a 7 p.m. matchup against TCU.
