Recruiting: Is Maclin's OU verbal solid?

Kirkwood, Mo. receiver Jeremy Maclin talks about his official visit to Colorado and interest in OU.

JH: How is your season going?

JM: "I finished with 300 yards rushing, 1,050 yards receiving and I had 220 yards passing playing quarterback. I caught 19 touchdown passes and I threw for two touchdowns as a quarterback. I caught about 40 passes this year. I also returned punts and I averaged 30 yards per return, but I only got a chance to return two punts."

JH: Are you still playing?

JM: "No, we ended up 9-3 on the year. We made it to the semi-finals and lost by a touchdown. We didn't end the season very well. We lost our last two regular season games as well."

JH: Are you happy with how your season ended?

JM: "I am pretty happy with my year. When you think about it I had pretty much the same stats as last year, but I played quarterback two games. I had to play quarterback to help my team, but I really didn't want to play it."

JH: Are you still committed to OU?

JM: "Yeah, I am still committed to OU."

JH: Did you watch the OU/OSU game this past Saturday?

JM: "Yes, I watched very minute of it on television. Oklahoma has come a long way and they have improved."

JH: Did you take an official visit this weekend somewhere?

JM: "I went on an official visit to Colorado with a friend of me, our tight end on the team, who is committed to Nebraska. We went up to see Nebraska play, but it was a visit to Colorado. We are not considering Colorado. I am still committed to OU and nothing has changed."

JH: So despite taking an official visit to another school you are saying that you are still committed to OU? Are you going to take any other visits?

JM: "Yes, I am still committed to OU. No, I don't think I am going to take any other visits."

JH: You said you watched the OU game this weekend, so as you watched Rhett Bomar play so well do you get excited about what you talent might do in the OU offense?

JM: "Yes, I think he is a great player. I think I could go in and just make plays. I just want to play receiver. It doesn't matter if it is inside or outside."
