JORRIE ADAMS, OL, 6'7, 275, 4.85, JASPER, TEXAS:
Adams is a mountain of a man, with quick feet and a determined attitude. Considered one of the top players in Texas, Adams is a 3-year starter who has started at both offensive tackle and tight end, but now has fully grown into a tight end at this time. Adams will also line up at defensive end this fall and it gives him his first opportunity to play on the defensive side of the ball.
An excellent pass blocker, Adams is still growing into his potential and his raw talent really excites college coaches. Adams can bench 315 pounds and he squats 450. Adams attended the Nike camp at Texas A&M last season, but he isn't sure he will attend any camps before his senior year. Adams starts in hoops, participates in powerlifting and throws the shot, discus and runs in the big man relay.
Adams says he has had too many football offers to count, but he is beginning to narrow down his college choices.
"I am still looking at a number of schools. I like Texas, Florida, Miami, Arkansas, Oklahoma and Texas A&M. However, I am not ruling out any schools at this time. I am going to talk to them all for a while, until I can research them and see how things shake out. I don't have a favorite at this time."
