Recruiting: Gresham checks out Norman...again

Ardmore, Okla. four-star tight end Jermaine Gresham talks about his visit to Nroman.

Jermaine Gresham, TE, 6-6, 226, ARDMORE, OKLAHOMA:

JH: How was your visit to OU this weekend?

JG: "It was a great visit, everything felt right. And they said if I came in and worked hard I could play next year."

JH: What did you learn about OU that you didn't know before your visit?

JG: "I learned they are very strong in academics. It is amazing all the opportunities that they have academically. They have a great academic center and support, and if you just put in the effort you can succeed academically at OU."

JH: This was really your first chance to get an up close look at the facilities, so what did you think?

JG: "The facilities are amazing. If you just get in there and work you are going to be in condition and you are going to be conditioned to play."

JH: What are your thoughts on Oklahoma after this visit?

JG: "I think it is still the same because I don't have anything to compare it to. Once I have something to compare it to, then I will know."

JH: What did you pick up concerning how OU uses their tight end in their offense?

JG: "They showed me that if I went there that it would open up a whole lot of things for their offense. They have had some success in the past throwing to the tight end, and if I went there I think they can again."

JH: What is the remainder of your visiting schedule?

JG: "I go to Miami on the 16th. I am working to set up visits to LSU, USC and Tennessee."

JH: Are you still wide open in recruiting?

JG: "Yeah, because I don't have anything to compare it to."

JH: Now that you have visited OU would you say that the Sooners enhanced their ability to sign you?

JG: "Yes, they enhanced it. That is for sure."
