Recruiting: Texas OL has ties in Norman

Longview, Texas OL Trent Williams talks about his visit to Oklahoma State and connection in Norman.

Trent Williams, OL, 6-4, 300, LONGVIEW, TEXAS:

JH: How did your visit go to OSU?

TW: "It went well."

JH: What did you like and dislike about the visit to OSU?

TW: "I liked the team unity. The only thing that I might dislike about it was that it is maybe a little too far away from home."

JH: What appealed to you about playing in the offensive line at OSU?

TW: "I would have a lot of opportunity to make a contribution to the team. I think they are on the rise right now. There is certainly nothing wrong with the opportunity there right now."

JH: What is your remaining visit schedule?

TW: "I go to Oklahoma this weekend. I am going to Texas A&M on December 16th."

JH: What are your thoughts on Oklahoma?

TW: "I have real high hopes for Oklahoma. I have liked them every since I started to evaluate recruiting. If I go in and like it there, it will be a good possibility that is where I will go. Oklahoma has a big plus in that I have a good friend and former teammate who starts there in Malcolm Kelly. That is a big plus for Oklahoma."

JH: After your visit to Texas A&M, will you then try to make a decision or do you feel you will take another visit somewhere?

TW: "After that Texas A&M visit I will sit down and try to sort everything out."

JH: Do you have a solid leader or are you still open-minded at this time?

TW: "I would say I am pretty open minded."
