MARCUS FOREMAN, DE, 6Õ2, 210, 4.59, HEWITT MIDWAY, TEXAS:
Marcus is a fantastic athlete that is just now emerging on the recruiting radar. A starter since his sophomore year, Foreman is being recruited as both a linebacker and defensive end. Foreman has played defensive end the last two years and as a sophomore he finished the year with 79 tackles. Last season, Forman equaled those stats, despite being double-teamed finishing with 76 solo tackles and 19 sacks.
ÒI really like putting pressure on the quarterback,Ó said Foreman. ÒWith my speed and quickness offensive tackles have a terrible time getting out on me and I can beat them around the corner.Ó
Foreman benches 280 pounds, squats 410 and has posted a 33-inch vertical jump. In track, Foreman runs the 400M (52.9) and triple jumps (42).
Foreman recently attended the Nike Camp at Texas A&M and felt he had a good performance. Foreman says schools are contacting him on a regular basis and early he likes Missouri, Oklahoma State, Texas, LSU, Florida and Oklahoma. Missouri is the first school to offer Foreman out of this bunch.
ÒI donÕt have a favorite and I am trying to keep my options open,Ó said Foreman. ÒI am waiting to see what Oklahoma wants to do and I guess that goes for some of the other schools as well.Ó
Foreman will take his post graduate test this summer.
