Recruiting: Las Vegas DB back from Norman

Quinton Carter talks about his official visit to Norman and final two.

Quinton Carter, SS, 6-1, 187, 4.45, LAS VEGAS (CHEYENNE HS), NEVEDA:

JH: How did your visit to OU go this weekend?

QC: "It went well. They really opened my eyes. They have some good guys on their team athletically and personality-wise. Facility-wise they have a lot to offer."

JH: Do you now have a good feeling about OU?

QC: "I came away with a great feeling, nothing was bad about it. I learned that the opportunity that I would have as a true freshman is good. The academic program that OU has it exceptional and it would keep me going with my grades."

JH: Did you study how your talents would fit into the defense?

QC: "I would play free safety mainly, and that is the way I like to play. I like their defensive scheme and how they run. They are aggressive and really get after it at safety."

JH: What are your thoughts on recruiting at this point?

QC: "I am going to go home and try to make a decision because I am graduating at semester. I want to talk to my parents and try to make a decision from there. My choices are down to Fresno State and Oklahoma."

JH: Do you have a leader at this point?

QC: "No, I don't have a leader, and both have had the same opportunities in recruiting me. It is just a matter of where I can fit in the best and where I can come in and make a difference. It is important to decide where I can start a life after high school at."

JH: What kind of chance do the Sooners have to sign you?

QC: "I am leaving Oklahoma with a great feeling. It is up in the air what I am going to do. I don't want to say what kind of chance right now. I want to go home and talk to my parents and my coach and then make a decision from there."

JH: When do you hope to make a decision?

QC: "I hope to make it before Christmas."
