Sooners still high on Symonette's list

Houston, Texas five-star OL Ian Symonette talks about his visit to Miami and interest in OU.

Ian Symonette, OL, 6-9, 330, HOUSTON (ST. PIUS X HS), TEXAS:

JH: I know you are back home in Nassau visiting family, so you have to be very excited about that?

IS: "It feels good to be back among my own environment and being around my family just relaxing and taking it easy. I am also working out staying in shape for that Army All-American game next month."

JH: What did you think of your trip to the University of Miami?

IS: "I enjoyed it a lot. It was pretty good."

JH: What did you like or dislike about the visit?

IS: "I enjoyed the whole trip in general."

JH: What did you learn about Miami that you didn't know before?

IS: "Actually, there was so much stuff that I learned for the first time about Miami that it was a whole new learning experience for me."

JH: What kind of situation do they have for you in the offensive line?

IS: "All the schools that I am considering are about the same in the offensive line. They all need offensive linemen. So, as far as recruiting goes, I just need to sit down and figure out where I want to go."

JH: Do they also lack depth on the offensive line?

IS: "There two offensive tackles are graduating this year."

JH: When are you taking your two remaining visits?

IS: "I am going to take visits to Florida (1-13) and LSU (1-20) in January.

JH: What are you thoughts on Oklahoma?

IS: "I still feel very good about Oklahoma. I talked to the coaches from Oklahoma the day before I left for Miami, and I enjoyed talking to Coach (Kevin) Wilson a lot and to Coach (Kevin) Sumlin. I am still very high on Oklahoma. They are one of the schools that are very high on my list."

JH: Did you get a chance to talk and hang around with Gerald McCoy out of Oklahoma City?

IS: "Yes I did. We got to hang out quite a bit. He is a very nice guy."
