Courtney Paris scored 24 points and grabbed 15 rebounds and Chelsi Welch added a season-high 20 as No. 20 Oklahoma knocked off No. 16 New Mexico at The Pit in Albuquerque for the second straight time this season with an 83-70 win on Friday night.
Welch, who led the Sooners with 38 minutes, also recorded 12 rebounds, hit two 3-pointers and was a perfect 10-for-10 from the free throw line.
Paris, who did most of her damage in the second half with 20 points and 14 rebounds after finding foul trouble in the first half, leads the nation with 10 double-doubles.
With the win, the Sooners improve to 10-3 on the season while the Lobos drop to 9-3. The Sooners also evened their record against ranked opponents to 2-2.
Up next for the Sooners is the Big 12 opener at Iowa State (8-2) next Wednesday.
