Recruiting: Three-team race again for Walker

Junior College All-American lineman Brandon Walker talks about his visit to Florida State, in-home visit schedule and when he'll make his decision.

Brandon Walker, OL, 6-3, 315, COFFEYVILLE COMMUNITY COLLEGE, KANSAS:

JH: What did you think of your visit to Florida State this past weekend?

BW: "It was nice. I liked everything about it. I liked the whole atmosphere and everything from the stadium, the campus and football program and the girls."

JH: Did Florida State meet your expectations?

BW: "I grew up a Florida State fan and I have always like Florida State. I grew up watching Florida State and I have family in Florida. So I think they have a pretty good program down there."

JH: What did Florida State tell you about your opportunities in the offensive line?

BW: "They are saying the same thing that everybody else is saying. Every school that is recruiting me is telling me they have low numbers along the offensive line and that I could come in and help them right away, but it is all a recruiting pitch. I have to find out what is really going on with every school, but I am confident wherever I go I can help them out right away."

JH: What is your status in recruiting at this time?

BW: "I am narrowing things down. It is pretty much Florida State and Oklahoma, but Illinois is in it a little bit. It is really down to Florida State and Oklahoma."

JH: Do you have a favorite as we speak?

BW: "I wouldn't say that I have a No. 1 right now, but I am going to have my decision by Friday. Everything is very close together right now. I have some thinking to do."

JH: What are your thoughts on Oklahoma?

BW: "I still like Oklahoma. And let's face it Oklahoma is still Oklahoma, and I mean that in a good way. Bob Stoops is coming up tomorrow to talk to me and they still have a good chance."

JH: Do you still have questions that need to be answered or is this going to come down to just a gut feeling?

BW: "I really don't know right now. It is a hard decision. I am going to have to pray about it, talk to my parents and then sleep on it and see how it works out."

JH: Who sees you first?

BW: "Bob Stoops is coming tomorrow, the offensive line coach form Florida State is coming tomorrow, and then Ron Zook is coming in from Illinois also tomorrow. I am going see Bob Stoops in the morning and then Florida State and Illinois.
