Norman, Okla. — Courtney Paris set yet another record in Oklahoma's 86-57 win over Kansas Wednesday night in Lawrence, but so did her teammates.
The 9th-ranked Sooners broke a Big 12 record for the best start in conference history at 10-0, while Paris set an individual conference record with her 21st double-double of the season. She finished with 18 points and 12 rebounds.
Kansas was in the game halfway through the first half trailing just 17-16, but Oklahoma went on 10-o run from that point on to break the game open.
In all, OU outscored the Jayhawks 28-11 over the last eight minutes of the first half to take a 45-27 halftime lead.
Chelsi Welch added 16 points and Krista Sanchez and Leah Rush added 10 each.
With the win, the Sooners, who have won their 10 Big 12 games by an average of 17.3 points per game, improved to 20-4 overall.
The Jayhawks fell to 14-7 overall and 3-7 in Big 12 play.
The Sooners will host defending national champion Baylor at the Lloyd Noble Center on Sunday at 2:30 p.m.
