RECRUITING: Florida OL says he's wide open

Jacksonville, Fla. OL Aubrey McPhadden has a list of seven schools

This mountain of a man is a prime prospect in Florida and the word is out on him nationally as well. McPhadden is one of the best and most dominating offensive linemen in the country. Period. End of story.

McPhadden was a two-year starter at Jackson High, before transferring to First Coast for his senior season. McPhadden started at offensive tackle at Jackson and will go at the same position this year.

ÒI am pretty good at both run and pass blocking,Ó said McPhadden. ÒI can still improve in both areas, but I donÕt think I am any stronger at one over the other.Ó

McPhadden can bench 335 pounds, squats 540 and has a 24-inch vertical jump. McPhadden participated in the Miami NIKE camp earlier this summer and will attend the Down and Dirty lineman camp outside of Orlando. McPhadden also hopes to go to the Florida State camp. McPhadden has a great interest in becoming a lawyer, so a school with a top law school is a must.

ÒI like Florida, Florida State, Miami, LSU, South Carolina, Maryland and Oklahoma. They are all about the same at this point. I am still trying to find out more about each school. I know more about the local schools, but I am looking forward to hearing about the schools out of state. I donÕt mind going out of state, I just want to go to the school where I can get the best education and the football environment is best for me.Ó

McPhadden hasnÕt taken his ACT at this time.
