William Cole, WR, 6'0, 173, 4.4, CEDAR HILL, TEXAS:
William Cole is a name that you will want to remember, because he is an electrifying talent who can score from any position on the field. A year ago, Cole started for the first time and played both wide receiver and running back, but most colleges are recruiting him as a receiver.
"Most schools are recruiting me as a wide receiver, but they all tell me they like the fact that I also play running back," said Cole. "I will play anywhere they want me to, because I just want to do what is best to help the team and do what is best to get me on the field."
Cole finished last season with nine catches for 300 yards and four touchdowns, while also rushing the football 54 times for 620 yards and nine touchdowns. He is also very dangerous as a kick and punt returner, but his opponents know that as well. Cole got only one opportunity to return a punt a year ago and went 80-yards for a touchdown. From that point on, every team kicked away from him.
Cole can bench 220 pounds, squats 360 and has posted a 36-inch vertical jump. He has yet to attend a summer camp, but he plans to go to Texas A&M this summer. Cole is a part-time starter in hoops averaging 14 ponits per game.
Thus far Cole has been offered by LSU, Texas A&M, Baylor, Kansas, and he got another one in the mail today.
"I just got an offer from Nebraska today and I should be getting one from Oklahoma State very soon," said Cole. "Out of the schools that are recruiting me so far, the two I like the most are LSU and Texas A&M."
Oklahoma has not offered yet, but if they do the Sooners can jump right into the picture.
"Oklahoma is recruiting me, but they have not offered me yet," said Cole. "They are recruiting me pretty hard and I am waiting and hoping that they offer. If Oklahoma does offer, I would have an interest in them. I follow Oklahoma a little bit and I know quite about a bit about their football and basketball. If they offered there is no question that I would have an interest in Oklahoma."
Cole is taking his SAT this weekend and his ACT next weekend.
