Sooners will begin Super Regional on Saturday

Oklahoma will begin their quest for a trip to the College World Series in Omaha this Saturday against No. 2 ranked Rice.

The Sooners (44-20) and Owls (53-10) will play a best-of-three series at Reckling Park in Houston beginning Saturday at 6 p.m. The two teams will also play Sunday at noon and again at noon on Monday should the teams split the first two games. The first team to win two games advances to Omaha.

The games, which will be played at Reckling Park in Houston, will be televised by the ESPN network. Saturday's opener is set for ESPN2/ESPNU while Sunday and Monday's games will be televised on ESPN/ESPNU.

Oklahoma and Rice split their two previous meetings this season. The Owls won 8-2 on February 17 in Houston, and the Sooners winning 15-3 on April 18 in Norman.
