RECRUITING: Catching up with Tristen Ross recently caught up with ou commit Tristen Ross to see how his summer is progressing

James Hale recently had a chance to catch up with Lousiana receiver and ou commitment Tristen Ross.

JH: I understand you were in Norman the last couple of days?

TR: "Yes, I made it up to Norman for a family reunion. I still have several aunts and uncles who live in Norman. I went up to the coaches office hoping to see the OU coaches, but the only coach that was there was Jonathan Hayes. I really didn't even get to talk to him, because he was on the phone the whole time. I was kind of upset that I didn't get to see any of them, but I realize that they are on vacation and they need to take it when they can. This is the only time they can take a vacation."

JH: How are your summer workouts going?

TR: "They are going great. I have improved both my bench and squat. I am now benching 265 and my best squat is 460. I am catching a bunch of passes. We are getting ready to go to the national seven-on-seven passing game in Birmingham, Alabama, and we plan on winning that thing. I have been moved to the outside receiver position, so that has been a bit of an adjustment for me. However, I am picking it up real well and I plan on having a big year."

JH: Are you still excited about your commitment to OU?

TR: "Yes, I talk about it to people all the time. I am proud to be a Sooner and I can't wait for our season to start to show everybody from Oklahoma what kind of player they will be getting."
