Speedy Irving, Texas (MacArthur HS) wide receiver Ron Brooks (6-0, 170, 4.5) talks to about the latest in his recruitment.

JH: How is your summer going?

RB: "I am working out Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. Those are the days we have our workout program set up. Then after those workouts we throw the ball around quite a bit. We have a7-on-7 league on Tuesday's and we have our last game tomorrow. We are doing real well and I am doing a pretty good job. I am the starting quarterback this summer and I won't play in the secondary this year until we reach the playoffs."
JH: Have you taken any unofficial visits lately or gone to any camps?
RB: "The first unofficial I am going to take is to Texas A&M in a couple of weeks. I am working on trips to LSU, Florida and Oklahoma."
JH: What is going on in recruiting with you?
RB: "I am narrowing down my choices, but I am not sure if I have a top five or not. I am serious about the four schools I am trying to visit. I am interested in Nortre Dame because they are looking real good for the next few years. I am also looking at LSU, Florida, Texas A&M, Texas Tech, Texas A&M, Oklahoma and Oklahoma State. Those are the main schools that I am looking at."
JH: What are your thoughts on the recruiting process?
RB: "I am enjoying it. It is a new experience for me. It is not as heavy for me as when I was going to school. Now that I am out for the summer and the attention is spread out a little more, I can certainly deal with me."
JH: Are there schools that you feel are recruiting you harder than others?
RB: "I think all the schools are recruiting me pretty hard."
JH: What are your current thoughts on Oklahoma?
RB: "I have to really get back down there and talk to more players. I only got a chance to talk to about four players last time, and I really didn't get a chance to talk to them then. I basically just said hi and that was about all I could say. I am interested in OU and I think they are going to be one of the schools that I take my official visits with."
