Hoops: Sooners lose juco center

Junior college center Hernol Hall talks about his visit to Norman and commitment to Cincinnatti. Hall, who had originally signed with Duquense before being released from his letter of intent, visited Norman on Thursday and Friday.

JH: What did you think about your visit to OU?

HH: "I think Oklahoma is a great place for a player that wants to do well. I loved my visit to Oklahoma and enjoyed talking with all the players and coaches. I loved everything about the visit. My teammate from last year, Mike Neal, plays there and that even made me more interested in OU. I had a great time at OU."

JH: Did you commit to OU or have you made a decision?

HH: "Coach Capel asked me if I was interested in OU, and I said yes I am interested in them. I was very interested, but when I went on the visit I had already made a decision. I have already signed with Cincinnati ,and that is it."

JH: You picked Cincinnati over Oklahoma?

HH: "Yes, I did."

JH: What is the main reason why you picked Cincinnati over Oklahoma?

HH: "The main reason is because their education is the most important thing for me. I like the city (Cincinnati). And like I said to coach and Mike Neal, it is big decision for me right now because I really liked both universities. Both really wanted me to be there and stuff, and when I got back home I sat down to think about it and talked to my parents and family. When I really thought about it, going to Cincinnati was what I really wanted to do."

JH: Have you told Oklahoma?

HH: "Yes, I have already talked to the coaches and some of the players."
