Recruiting: Sooners in good shape with WR

Carrollton, Texas receiver Corey Wilson, the brother of former Sooner star Travis Wilson, talks about his summer workouts his brother, interest in Oklahoma and when he might pull the trigger on a commitment.

Corey Wilson, WR, 6-0, 187, 4.47, CARROLLTON (CREEKVIEW HS), TEXAS:

JH: How is your summer going?

CW: "It is going real good. I think everything has been successful. My teammates that I have been working out with have been great and I feel we have made a lot of progress."

JH: Did you set any goals physically for the summer?

CW: "I wanted to get to 190 at least, and I also wanted to work on my feet. I want quicker feet so that I can move in transition. I am up to 187 and I am going to get up to 190 before the season starts."

JH: Have you been going through seven-on-seven drills?

CW: "Our seven-on-seven really wasn't much of a seven-on-seven team. My quarterback only had me to throw to. At times this summer one other receiver and our skill guys weren't always there, so we really weren't a competitive team. We were just out there having fun."

JH: Have you been working out with your brother (Travis Wilson) much this summer?

CW: "Since he has been home, we have gone up to my school every day and work out. He pushes me and motivates me to get better and I am learning a lot about the little things of being a receiver. He is always pushing himself and that makes me push myself to stay with him. The drills that we do are tremendous."

JH: What is the latest in recruiting?

CW: "Oklahoma is still my favorite. Last time I talked to you Texas Tech was my second choice, but I am not sure about them anymore. It is pretty much just Oklahoma right now. I do have a slight interest in Baylor because of my good friend G.J. Kinne, who committed there. Basically, my only interest in Oklahoma right now."

JH: What is keeping you from committing to Oklahoma?

CW: "I am just trying to enjoy everything. I am not trying to close doors too fast. I am not saying that another school is going to jump in and change my mind, but I am just trying to enjoy the recruiting process a little bit."

JH: So can we call you a soft commitment?

CW: "Yes, you can definitely say that. I will probably get into the season a little bit and then announce. I don't want it to get too far into the season before I announce, so I will probably do it then."

JH: What camps have you been to this summer?

CW: "I went to the Oklahoma State day camp, Texas Tech and then to OU. I also went to the Todd Dodge passing camp."
