Christian Scott, S, 6-0, 190, 4.5, DALLAS (SKYLINE HS), TEXAS:
JH: I know you had planned to go to UT this weekend, but you didn't make it up there did you?
CS: "I didn't make it to Texas this weekend. My brother had to back it up and he told me the morning we were leaving. He told me that we weren't going to be able to make it today. He was saying that we may have to go on the 5th or the 12th (of August). He had to pick up his wife at the airport, so that was the reason he couldn't take me. He told me at the last minute."
JH: Were you disappointed?
CS: "Yeah, my brother is so unreliable (laughing)."
JH: It sounds like you plan to make the trip to Austin sometime in the next two weeks?
CS: "Yes, I do."
JH: Out of the schools that you are considering, is Texas the last school that you have to look at?
CS: "No, I am checking out Texas and I am going to try to visit LSU also. I haven't been to LSU yet. Oklahoma is the only school that I have been to so far."
JH: What were your thoughts on your unofficial visit to OU?
CS: "I liked it a lot. It is a live school and a live campus. I like the coaches a lot and the players that I did meet made it a nice school overall."
JH: Have you been in contact with Oklahoma much?
CS: "I have been talking to OU. I have talked to them since I visited there. I have been talking to Coach (Chris) Wilson and I have talked to Coach (Bob) Stoops also."
JH: What are your thoughts on Coach Stoops?
CS: "There is something about Coach Stoops that I like. I feel real comfortable talking to him. He is a real down-to-earth coach."
JH: Growing up, did you root for one school in particular?
CS: "I just rooted for the Texas schools for the most part. I rooted for A&M, UT. I just rooted for the Texas schools."
JH: So your interest in OU is a recent interest then?
CS: "Yeah, it is because when the recruiting process started I started to learn more about OU and get real interested in them."
JH: How much of a real interest do you have in OU?
CS: "I do like OU a lot. Right now they are the only school that I have visited, but I am considering them a lot."
JH: How is recruiting shaping up at the moment?
CS: "I am still considering the same schools that have been recruiting me the hardest. They are LSU, Texas, A&M, OU and OSU."
JH: When do your training camp start?
CS: "We have been practicing all summer, but we won't start officially until August 14. I am really looking forward to practice and for the season."
