Stephen Garcia, QB, 6-3, 212, TAMPA (JEFFERSON HS), FLORIDA:
JH: How have you played so far this season?
SG: "The first game we played against Middleton High School. I threw for 200 yards and one touchdown and ran for one touchdown. I had an 83-yard touchdown pass called back, and I had 63-yards rushing in that game. Last week I threw for 254, three touchdowns and had 54 yards rushing. That was against Chamberlain, which is a pretty good team."
JH: Who is next on the schedule?
SG: "We have a pretty easy game tomorrow, and then next week we play Armwood and that is going to be a great game. It is going to be on ESPNU. It is going to be exciting to be on television. We play Alonzo on the road this week."
JH: I know coaches can call prospects now, so who have you heard from so far?
SG: "Coach Heupel called me last night. I went to sleep at 8:30 and he didn't get to talk to me at all. I called him this morning and didn't get him, so I expect to talk to him tonight. I have also talked Urban Meyer, Steve Spurrier, coach Ed Orgeron from Ole Miss and coach Knox from Auburn."
JH: Have you talked with Coach Stoops yet?
SG: "My dad told me that Coach Stoops text me today and he wants me to call him. I guess I will be talking to him tonight."
JH: So how is recruiting shaping up with you at this time?
SG: "Right now it is pretty much South Carolina in the lead right now with Florida, Ole Miss, Auburn and Oklahoma in the mix."
JH: You have been a lean to South Carolina for a long time. Do these other schools really have a shot?
SG: "It is not 100 percent yet."
JH: Are you going to take visits before making your decision?
SG: "Yes, I am going to take visits this these schools. I am not sure when I am going to take the visits."
JH: What do you like at South Carolina?
SG: "I am the most comfortable with the coaches and players at South Carolina. I also like coach Spurrier a lot/ I just feel the most comfortable at South Carolina."
JH: What are your thoughts on Oklahoma at this time?
SG: "I am going to see what they have. I am not really sure what they have because I have just started to talk to them. I am just getting to know them right now and we will just see where it goes. I know they have a great program and a great opportunity, but I don't know anything else about them."
