Recruiting: Offer would increase OLs interest

The latest on Kansas City, Kan. offensive lineman Donald Stephenson.

Donald Stephenson, OL, 6-6, 275, KANSAS CITY (CENTRAL HS), KANSAS:

JH: How is your season going?

DS: "We have only had two games and we are 2-0. We beat Park Hill and Rockhurst so far this year. I am playing left tackle and things are going pretty well for me. I have played a lot better than I did last year. Things are much easier than last year."

JH: What are your stats after two games?

DS: "I had eight pancakes the first game and seven the next game. It feels like I am getting better all the time. With the coaches that we have here, I get better after each game. I feel like my best days are ahead of me."

JH: College coaches can call you now, so what schools are you hearing from?

DS: "I have heard from Texas Tech, Nebraska, Kansas State, Kansas, Missouri, Michigan called my coaches, and Oklahoma. I talked to Oklahoma last week."

JH: What is the latest in recruiting with you?

DS: "My top three are the schools that have offered me. I am looking at KU, K-State, Nebraska and Missouri. Oklahoma is one of those schools that seem interested, but they haven't offered me yet. If Oklahoma offers me I will definitely have an interest in them."

JH: Are you still planning on taking your visits during the season?

DS: "I was going to visit during the season because I thought I wanted to make my decision during the season. Now I don't really know what I want to do, so I am going to take my visits after the season and then make my decision."
