Recruiting: Wilson ready to pull the trigger?

Carrollton, Texas wide receiver Corey Wilson, the brother of former Sooner Travis Wilson, will visit Norman officially this weekend.

Corey Wilson, WR, 6-0, 185, 4.47, CARROLLTON (CREEKVIEW HS), TEXAS:

JH: How is your season going so far?

CW: "It is good pretty good actually. We are 2-1. We beat Irving Nimitz this week and then beating Mansfield last week. We lost to North Garland."

JH: How are things going individually for you so far this season?

CW: "It is kind of unexpected. It is going a lot better than last season. I have scored in every one of our games. It is has been pretty successful so far. I have caught six passes and I have about 17 rushes for 140 yards. I have five touchdowns so far and three of those have been by receiving."

JH: How are they using you on offensively?

CW: "They are using me as an athlete. I go to the slot, sometimes I am out wide and then I am used as a wing back. They are moving me all over the field. Plus, I am the punt and kick returner and I am the back-up punter. I really like how I am being used this year. I have always wanted to be involved in the offense more. I have never felt the offense should be centered around me, but I have always felt that I should be more involved in the offense. I think I can help the team in a number of ways."

JH: Are you visiting Oklahoma this weekend?

CW: "Yes sir."

JH: You have been a solid lean to OU for so long. Do you expect to go ahead and commit this weekend? CW: "I am definitely excited to come up there for my official visit. I have told my mom and my friends that if everything goes well on that visit that I will make my commitment on that visit."

JH: Are you going to take any other official visits?

CW: "I have talked to Kansas State about taking one there. I would like to take one to Kansas State, but if I commit to OU and the coaches there don't want me to take any other visits then I probably won't."

JH: You have been to Oklahoma several times, so what do you want to do or what do you expect on your official visit this weekend?

CW: "I just hope to experience what kind of chemistry that the team has. I know about that some, but I have never been there on a game day. Coach (Kevin) Sumlin says the team goes to the movies on Friday night and I am looking forward to experiencing that and just hanging out with the team."
