Recruiting: Scott ready for OU-Texas

The latest on Dallas, Texas four-star safety Christian Scott.

Christian Scott, S, 6-0. 195, 4.5, DALLAS (SKYLINE HS), TEXAS:

JH: How is your season going?

CS: "We are 2-0. We have beaten Dallas Samuel and Arlington Colts."

JH: How are you playing?

CS: "I didn't play the first game because of a mild ankle sprain I got in practice. I played a little bit in the second game, but they didn't let me play a whole lot. I didn't play on defense, but I did play on offense and I caught a coupe of passes for about 30 yards. I also scored a touchdown at quarterback on a quarterback sneak. I feel good this week and I will get to play a whole lot on both sides of the ball."

JH: I bet you have been very frustrated with your injury and not playing?

CS: "It has been very frustrating for me. I have been trying to press the issue trying to convince them to let me play, but the coaches have been very cautious with me and I understand that. They have my best interest at heart."

JH: Have you set any of your visits yet?

CS: "I haven't yet, but I am going to start doing that soon. Now that all the games are going on, I want to start setting some of them up."

JH: Are you going to the Oklahoma-Texas game?

CS: "I do want to go to the Oklahoma/Texas game. I have to get back in touch with coach Chris Wilson and set that up."

JH: What schools are you still interested in?

CS: "I have been thinking mostly about the schools that I talk to. I have been talking to LSU, OU, Texas A&M and Florida State. I really don't have a leader."

JH: Are any of the schools showing you any more attention than the others?

CS: "They all have been showing me about the same attention. LSU has come on strong, but the other schools have been showing me a lot of attention."

JH: What are your current thoughts on Oklahoma?

CS: "I still feel real good about Oklahoma. I talk to the Oklahoma coaches all the time. I talk to coach (Bob) Stoops and coach Wilson quite a bit. I feel real comfortable talking to the Oklahoma coaches and that is very important. I can't wait to watch Oklahoma play against Texas."

JH: Do you look at the depth chart at safety or for teams that are changing starters at safety?

CS: "I pay attention to what is going on at safety at Oklahoma and all the schools. I know that Oklahoma has made a change at safety and that catches my attention. I think there are some opportunities for me at Oklahoma if that is where I decide to go."

JH: Are you going to take your visits during the season or after the season?

CS: "If I get a chance to take some during the season. I still will. I would try to visit schools that are close to me during the season maybe, but we will have to see."
