Recruiting: OU Juco QB prospect injured

Pearl River, Miss. quarterback Mike Greco talks about his injury and interest in Oklahoma.

Mike Greco, QB, 6-4, 225, PEAR RIVER JC, MISSISSIPPI:

JH: I hear you got hurt. What happened?

MG: "It was two seconds before halftime and the coach calls a quarterback draw and I took off running. Somebody wrapped my ankles up and then somebody hit me up top and I landed right on the point of my right shoulder, and that was it."

JH: So you did hurt a shoulder?

MG: "It was my right shoulder."

JH: At least it wasn't your throwing shoulder, right?

MG: "Yeah, that is a way to look at it. My throwing shoulder is great."

JH: Are you going to miss the rest of the season?

MG: "The doctor says five to six weeks, so I should be able to play in the playoffs. This was just one of those freak accidents."

JH: How was the game going for you before you got hurt?

MG: "I think I had like seven rushes for 90 yards, and I am not sure what our passing yards were. We ended up losing the game. We are now 3-1 on the season."

JH: Have you talked to Oklahoma lately?

MG: "Coach Heupel just told me to keep my head up and that everything is going to be fine."

JH: Last time we talked you said that you were trying to get game film to OU. Have you been able to do that yet?

MG: "Not yet. I was supposed to get it to him this week, but I have been stuck in the hospital. Then I stayed in a hotel with my family the past couple of days."

JH: Who are you currently talking to in recruiting?

MG: "I am talking to OU, Central Florida, South Florida, Troy and Southern Miss right now. The coaches at South Carolina also came to my school and talked to my coach."
