Recruiting: OU increasing talks with local WR

The latest on Norman, Okla. wide receiver/defensive back Ryan Broyles.

Ryan Broyles, WR, 5-11, 170, NORMAN, OKLAHOMA:

JH: I know you were at the OU/Texas game last weekend, so what did you think?

RB: "It was pretty exciting to see both teams run out there and both have a shot to win. It was an intense game and the atmosphere was intense. I was deep in the OU part of the stadium, so I didn't get a chance to see what the Texas fans were like. But the OU fans were intense."

JH: Did you pay attention to what the wide receivers were doing?

RB: "Manuel Johnson really stepped up and Malcolm Kelly was tremendous. Juaquin Iglesias was very good as well."

JH: Do you ever think about playing in that game?

RB: "I am a big college football fan and playing in that game is one of my dreams."

JH: Are you talking to Oklahoma now quite a bit?

RB: "Yeah, it is pretty constant now. I talked to coach Cale Gundy back in the summer, and now it is more of a weekly thing so I am getting a better feel for the situation. They have told me that they are going to be patient as to what they do with their next receiver, so I have to be patient."

JH: What is the latest in recruiting with you?

RB: "I am going to Michigan State this weekend and I have already been to Texas A&M. I am talking to South Carolina and Texas Tech about visits."

JH: Do you have a favorite at this time?

RB: "No, I don't."

JH: What are the key factors in your recruiting decision?

RB: "Hopefully I will get out to some places that I am looking at, so right now it is just a comfort level I guess. I will just have to see where I feel comfortable at and see how I fit in at each school. Most of the schools are looking at me at wide receiver. And if it is not receiver, it is at cornerback. Right now I am at free safety, but I am going to play corner in college."
