Recruiting: Texas DT planning visit

Keller, Texas defensive tackle Chris Perry talks about his visit schedule and interest in OU.

Chris Perry, DL, 6-3, 315, KELLER (FOSSIL RIDGE HS), TEXAS:

JH: How is your season going?

CP: "It is going good. We are 7-1 right now and we won last Friday 44-9. We are undefeated in district and rated 11th in the state."

JH: The last time we talked you said you might be going both ways soon, has that happened yet?

CP: "Right now I am still playing straight defense. I haven't had to get in on offense yet."

JH: How are you doing on defense up to this point?

CP :"I have only one sack so far, but I have a bunch of pressures."

JH: Do you feel you will be playing on defense in college?

CP: "Yes sir. That is where I hope to play in college."

JH: I know you were at the OU/Texas game, but have you been to any other games this year?

CP: "No sir. That is the only game that I have been to this year."

JH: Have you set any official visits up at this time?

CP: "I am going to Nebraska this Saturday, and then I am going to Oklahoma next Saturday. I am looking forward to both visits."

JH: What is going on in recruiting with you at the moment?

CP: "I don't even know. I am just trying to figure out which schools I want to take my visits to and then go from there. I am also going to Miami, but I don't have a date. I also want to go to Notre Dame and Florida."

JH: What are your thoughts on Oklahoma at this time?

CP: "I like what I saw at that game. There is no reason not to be interested in them, so I want to go check them out. I don't know a whole lot about the history of OU and I can't wait to find out more about their program."

JH: Will depth chart be a factor in your decision or style of play?

CP: "Depth chart does come into play a lot. Style of play is something that I have thought about a couple of times, and whether my talents could fit in there. Then the coach and how long he is going to be there, and will the coaching staff be there the entire time that I am there."
