Today on my radio show, First Sports on the KREF, All-American QB Tommy Grady (6'6, 215, 4.7) of Huntington Beach (Edison High School), Cali. almost committed to the Oklahoma Sooners.
"Oklahoma is my top choice right now and I want to be a Sooner," said Grady as he was driving to his prep team's first practice. "However, I need to talk it over with my parents first. We are going to sit down over the next couple of days and talk everything over and hopefully I will have a decision real soon. I would like to get this decision over with before the start of my upcoming season."
The Sooners lead over Miami, Florida State, Florida and LSU.
Kyle Wright (6'4, 195) of Danville, (Monte Vista), Calif. was also on the show this morning. Wright said that he still doesn't have a clear leader following his unofficial visits to Miami, Florida State, Tennessee, OU and Texas. He said that Texas had the best facilities by far and that he really enjoyed his visits to Miami and OU. Wright says he is not sure he can make a decision before the start of his high school season.
One other note about Wright is that his parents really don't want him going to school too far from home. While they have been supportive during these unoffical visits, they really want him to go to USC. Wright's recruiting choice will come down to one of the five schools and USC, and in my opinion the Trojans lead at this point.
