Recruiting: Five-star WR favors two

The latest on Hempstead, Fla. wide receiver Terrance Toliver.

Terrance Toliver, WR, 6-4, 190, HEMPSTEAD, TEXAS:

JH: You have told this reporter that when it comes to OU that it would be important that they sign a top flight QB in this class. They just got a commitment from Elite 11 quarterback (Keith Nichol), so what do you know of him if anything?

TT: "I really don't know anything about him really, except what I have heard from Oklahoma and read on the Internet. I have never met him or anything. I received a text from coach (Kevin) Sumlin and he told me about him. Like I told him, LSU and Florida are my top two schools. Oklahoma is still in it, but they are my top two schools. I am glad OU got a great quarterback, but I have been thinking about recruiting for a few days now and my situation is still the same with LSU and Florida in front."

JH: What is it about LSU and Florida that puts them at the top of your list?

TT: "At LSU, I just like coaching staff a lot. I grew up an LSU fan and that has never changed. When I went to Florida, they made me feel real comfortable. My cousin is on the team, Brandon Antwine, and he is a freshman this year. I really like Coach (Urban) Meyer and Florida throws the ball a lot."

JH: Since you want a great quarterback in your class what are your thoughts on Cameron Newton, who has committed to Florida, and Jarrett Lee, who has committed to LSU?

TT: "I have caught the ball from Cameron and he throws a nice ball. I saw him at a camp this summer and I watched him throw the ball. He certainly caught my eye. Jarrett Lee is a big-time thrower. He reminds me of Peyton Manning. He has a great release and can throw the ball with authority. He has a chance to be a great quarterback."

JH: So at this poit, you are saying that your decision will either be LSU or Florida?

TT: "I am just saying that LSU and Florida have been my top two schools for some time. I am still considering Oklahoma, and like I said they are still in it. I want to get this process over so that I can concentrate on my academics. I have a lot on my plate right now. I am going to announce at the Army All-American game."
