RECRUITING: OU will get visit from two-sport star

The latest on Louisville, Ky. wide receiver Michael Bush

Michael is one the best all-around athletes in the country and is currently being recruited in both football and basketball. A tremendous athlete, Bush has been a starter in both sports since his freshman season.

Bush played wide receiver all three years, but his sophomore and junior years he also played tailback, before starting the last two games at quarterback. However, Bush hates to be idle so he also lines up at defensive back. Bush was very active last season at pass-happy Male High School, catching 60 balls for 1,090 yards and 15 TD catches. Throw in another four passing and two rushing and Bush is a touchdown machine.

"I want to play either quarterback or free safety in college," said Bush. "Every college that is recruiting me says that is fine with them, but I realize I could wind up anywhere on the field."

In hoops Bush is a dominating figure as well averaging 16 points, 12 rebounds and four assists per contest.

"I want to play both sports in college," says Bush. "I want to go to a school that will let me play both and the schools that are recruiting me are telling me that I can play both sports."

Bush went to the NIKE All-American basketball camp this summer and performed well at the camp. Thus far, Bush has ten offers on the table, and at this point he doesn't have a favorite.

"Out of the schools that have offered me I like Louisville, Ohio State, Kentucky, Wake Forrest, Oklahoma, Tennessee and Notre Dame," said Bush.

"Oklahoma has great programs in both sports and they have offered me in both. I really don't know much about them up close, but I do know they have two great programs that are at the top of the national scene right now. I hope to visit Ohio State, Tennessee and Oklahoma. The other two choices are up in the air."
