WBB Final: Oklahoma 80 New Mexico 58

Courtney Paris' school-record 43 points helps No. 7 Oklahoma improve to 10-1.

Just when you thought there weren't any more records for Courtney Paris to break, she does it again.

The 6-foot-4 center extended her double-double streak in style scoring school-record 43 points and grabbing 25 rebounds in No. 7 Oklahoma's 80-58 win over No. 25 New Mexico Sunday at the Cox Convention Center in Oklahoma City.

The previous record single-game record of 40 points was set by Phylesha Whaley in 1999. Paris' 43-point effort was also the best individual mark in Division-1 this season.

She also set a Big 12 record for made field goals with 20 on 26 attempts. Her 25 rebounds, which was the second-best individual output in Division-1 this year, were just one shy of the school single-game record, which she set last season against Baylor.

With the win, the Sooners finish the non-conference season 10-1. They will begin Big 12 play next Wednesday in Norman against Kansas State.
