The Matchup
The Sooners will face one of their toughest tests of the season today against No. 8 ranked Alabama. Alabama comes into the game ranked 19th in the RPI, while the Sooners check in at No. 82.

The Crimson Tide, winners of their last five games, are 7-0 so far this season at Coleman Coliseum. Over the last five games, 'Bama is averaging an impressive 86 points per game and will provide a test for Oklahoma's defense, which is currently only giving up 53.7 points per game, which ranks them 2nd in the Big 12.

Last season, the Sooners beat Alabama 68-56 on New Year's Eve in Norman. OU outrebounded the Tide 40-18. Kevin Bookout led the way with 18 points and then-freshman Austin Johnson came off the bench to record a career-high 14 points and five rebounds.
