ANDREW BAIN, OL, 6'3, 330, 5.0, PAMPAMO BEACH ELY, FLORIDA:
Bain is one of the very best offensive linemen in Florida and considered by many to be one of the very best offensive linemen in the country.
Bain started his career in Davie, Fla., where he played defensive tackle his freshman and sophomore season. Last season he moved to offensive guard and he has become a fixture there. Offensive guard is more of his natural position.
"I really don't care as long as I am on the field," said Bain. "I am told that I am more of a natural offensive lineman for the next level. I am being recruited to play offensive guard and I will have only played offensive line for one year. I guess that should tell me something about playing offense."
Bain can bench 465 pounds, squats 550 and he posted a 22.8 vertical jump at the NIKE camp at Miami. Bain also attended the Miami and Florida State summer camp and did well at both camps.
Bain has been offered by just about every D-1 school in the country and he narrowed his choices down to six schools.
"Miami is my top choice with Florida State second. Stanford is my third, N.C. State is fourth with Michigan State and Ohio State rounding out my favorites," said Bain.
"I want to visit a couple of schools in the Midwest and I may visit Oklahoma. I don't know about Oklahoma at this time. Recruiting is crazy for me right now and it is a lot of stuff to deal with. I want to visit a couple of schools in the Midwest and I may visit Oklahoma.
"I haven't really researched Oklahoma and I don't even know if they have my major. I want to major in psychology. I know about Davin Joseph and know that he is playing real well out there."
Bain has qualified and he will play his first game next Thursday against St. Thomas.
