Donald Stephenson, OL, 6-6, 275, 5.0, BLUE SPRINGS, MO.
JH: Are you Oklahoma this weekend?
DS: "I was supposed to go to Oklahoma last week, but the weather was real bad up there so we decided to wait. Then I was supposed to go to Michigan this week, but I decided not to do that and decided to come to Oklahoma instead."
JH: Have you decided to not visit Michigan now?
DS: "Yes, I am not going to visit Michigan now."
JH: How does it make you feel that even through your off-the-field problems OU has continued to recruit you?
DS: "That is what has really kept Oklahoma in this for so long. They have really understood what happened — that a person can be in the wrong place at the wrong time. OU took the time to check everything out and they have continued to recruit me, and that means a lot to me. That is why I am very seriously considering OU."
JH: You said in our last interview that after you visited Oklahoma you would then come home and make a decision. Now that you have moved that visit up a week, do you still plan on making a decision soon after this visit?
DS: "I will be ready to make my decision. Maybe even that Monday."
JH: So you want to make a decision and get recruiting behind you?
DS: "Exactly, yeah."
JH: How is your recruiting shaping up going into your visit at OU?
DS: "I want to get with my head coach and talk about what is important, who is better in what and then go from there. I think I have narrowed down, but I really haven't decided where I want to go."
JH: Do you have a leader?
DS: "I really don't want to say right now, but I think I am getting close to a decision."
JH: What are your thoughts on Oklahoma going into that visit?
DS: "Still really strong. They are one of the schools that I have narrowed my decision down to. I just need to get there and see their program in person."
JH: Have you ever been to Oklahoma before?
DS: "No, this will be my first time."
JH: What are some of the important factors that you are looking for in recruiting?
DS: "Playing time is not a big factor right now. I would say it is what offense fits me the most or would I fit in that offense. I like an NFL style that mixes a lot of run and pass, and runs zone power. I don't like one-dimensional offensive teams. I think Oklahoma has that kind of offense, at least that is what it looks like to me. That's what I am looking for."
