MBB Final: Oklahoma 81 Longwood 40

Godbold, Longar lead the way with 16 points apiece as Sooners improve to 12-8.

Norman — Junior David Godbold came off the bench to score 16 points as Oklahoma improved to 12-8 with an 81-40 win over Longwood (7-17) Tuesday night in Norman.

Tony Crocker jumpstarted Oklahoma scoring the first six points of the game and the Sooners never looked back building a 42-18 halftime lead.

Joining Godbold, who a perfect 4-for-4 from 3-point range, in double figures were Longar Longar (16), Nate Carter (15), Crocker (11) and Griffin (10).

Crocker also pulled down a game-high eight rebounds, four assists, two steals and two blocks in just 19 minutes of play.

As for Carter, the senior scored in double figures for the 8th-straight game and also set a school record for consecutive free throws made (37) in the first half.

The Sooners will start an important two-game home Big 12 stretch Saturday against Texas Tech. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m.
