ASHTON YOUBOTY, CB, 6'1, 180, 4.38, HOUSTON KLEIN, TEXAS:
Are you definitely a cornerback, or are some teams recruiting you as a wide receiver?
AY: Everybody is recruiting me as a corner. Arizona is recruiting me as a free safety, but nobody that I can think of is recruiting me as a wide receiver.
JH: Do you like playing cornerback the best?
AY: Yes sir, because that is where I actually dominate at. As a freshman I came in as a wide receiver and a corner, but I feel very comfortable at cornerback.
JH: Who is the best wide receiver that you faced last season?
AY: Last year it was Anthony Wright.
JH: How good will your team be this year?
AY: Our defense is normally good and our coach is talking district championship. Our offense needs to come around, but we feel it is going to be better.
JH: How many coaches have you heard from this week?
AY: Quite a few, close to 20 I guess.
JH: How is recruiting shaping up for you right now?
AY: My top six, if I go North, it's Ohio State, Penn State or Michigan or if I stay around here it will be Oklahoma, LSU or Tennessee. Tennessee just started to recruit me recently. All of these schools have offered except for Michigan and Tennessee.
JH: It sounds like you are definitely leaving Texas?
AY: Only Texas A&M has been recruiting me down here and I have talked to their coaches a couple of times.
JH: Do you have a favorite right now?
AY: Not really and at this point. I have just separated them from the North and South.
JH: What are you thoughts on Oklahoma?
AY: I went to their spring game and I want to take another unofficial visit there. I didn't get to see much my first time. At their scrimmage I liked the coverages they ran on defense. There facilities are nice and getting better. I got to know Coach Mike Stoops a little bit and watched some film with him.
JH: Do you have any visits set at this time?
AY: I have set a visit to Penn State September 14. I will figure out the rest as my season goes along.
