RECRUITING: Tyler, Texas DE says OU is on top

Tyler, Texas defensive end Tim Crowder talks about his visit to Norman last weekend

JH: Did you enjoy your recruiting trip to Norman?

TC: I loved it. OU is a great place with great fans and a great team. There wasn't anything I didn't like about the trip.

JH: What did you think of Norman?

TC: Norman kind of reminded me of home. The city really seemed just about right. I hung around with most of the freshmen. Larry Birdine and Calvin Thibodeaux showed me around.

JH: Did you learn what you needed to learn about their defensive end position?

TC: I figure they need help, because they only played three the whole game. They didn't play either freshman, so if I went there I would be compared to them right away. The defensive end coach (Bobby Jack Wright) was comparing me to their starting defensive ends anyway.

JH: Do you think you can earn some early playing time at OU?

TC: Yes, sir. I think that I could earn some playing time early at OU.

JH: How does recruiting stack up for you right now?

TC: Right now Oklahoma is probably number one.I really liked my visit and I know more about them right now than anybody else. I am still talking to Nebraska (12-20), Texas (12-13) and LSU (12-6). Those will be the four schools that I am going to visit and then I will make a decision in early January.
