Sooners still in the hunt for Texas receiver?

Gilmer, Texas wide receiver Lamar Harris talks about his commitment to Texas A&M and interest in Oklahoma.

Lamar Harris, ATH, 6'2, 185, 4.45, GILMER, TEXAS:

JH: What is the latest in recruiting?

LH: The latest is that LSU and Florida have been talking to me. I think they are going to offer me. I just don't know yet. It really depends on my tape and how my season goes next year if they offer me or not. I went down to Texas A&M and I liked it. It was a nice experience I really enjoyed talking their coaches more than anything. That is why I committed to Texas A&M."

JH: Are you still seriously considering other schools?

LH: "Yeah, a little bit. Being young, you never know which school is right for you. Right now Texas A&M seems right to me."

JH Are you still talking to Oklahoma?

LH: "Yeah."

JH: What are your thoughts on Oklahoma right now?

LH: "I like Oklahoma because they are a good school. I really do like them. They have a nice athletic program and they are a good team."

JH: Is there a chance that you will still take a visit to Oklahoma?

LH: "I don't know, I really don't know right now. I will just have to wait and see what happens."

JH: So it just depends on how things go during the season?

LH: "Yes sir."

JH: Who has offered you at this point?

LH: "I have the same four schools. They are Texas A&M, Baylor, Oklahoma and Tulsa."

JH: What is going to happen if Florida and LSU offer you?

LH: "I don't know. I just things are going to get crazy."

JH: How is track going?

LH: "I am not going to get to do track until our regional because I had surgery. I had a hernia, which I had all my life. It is called an umbilical hernia and it just started to bother me recently."

JH: When are you going to be able to work out again?

LH: "I will start to workout hard again on April 23."
