Landry Jones, QB, 6'5, 222, 4.8, ARTESIA NEW MEXICO:

JH: I understand you announced your decision tonight?

LJ: "Yes sir. I just got off the phone with Coach (Bob) Stoops about a hour ago. I let him know and then I called Coach (Josh) Heupel and let him know that I was going to be a Sooner."

JH: What did Coach Stoops have to say about the good news?

LJ: "He was excited. He said, 'Well, I think you fit the mold here really well. We are all jacked to get you here.' He was really excited about it."

JH: What did Coach Heupel say to you about your decision?

LJ: "Coach Heupel said he was excited to get me there, and that he can't wait to start working with me. He told me to keep working hard in the offseason and that he can't wait to get me up to Norman."

JH: What was the deciding factor in your decision?

LJ: "It was just kind of like one of those feelings you get in your gut when you pray about it a lot. Once I got on campus, I knew that was the school for me."

JH: So who did your decision come down to?

LJ: "My decision came down to OU, Colorado and UCLA."

JH: So you were sold on OU when you attended summer camp last summer?

LJ: "I have grown up being a Sooner fan and my dad is big Sooner fan, so Oklahoma has always been very high on my list."

JH: Obviously, you have enough confidence in your abilities to come in and compete for a starting job right away?

LJ: "Yes sir. I would like to have the starting job there at quarterback. I think I can go in there and compete for it, but I know I am going to have to work extremely hard because they have a lot of good quarterbacks there."

JH: How good is your high school team going to be this year?

LJ: "We are going to be pretty good. We have a lot of starters coming back on offense and defense, so we should be pretty good again."
