LYNELL HAMILTON, RB, 6'1, 205, 4.41, STOCKTON EDISON, CALIFORNIA:
Hamilton is one of those running backs that college coaches fight over. He will certainly give Reggie Bush a run for his money for best running back in California after rushing for 1,200 yards and 18 touchdowns a year ago.
Hamilton moved to Edison last season, but during his sophomore year, Hamilton started at Calcary Temple where he rushed for 1,100 yards and 10 touchdowns.
"I am finesse runner, but I like running between the tackles," said Hamilton. "I have good vision like all good running backs and I feel like I can outrun any offense."
Hamilton can bench 275 pounds and camped this summer in Reno, Nevada, where he was the running back and camp MVP. Hamilton also runs track where he has sprints in the 100M (10.7), 200M (21.2) and in the 400M (48.6).
In recruiting Hamilton likes Oregon, Oklahoma, Colorado, Arizona, Michigan and Miami and all of those schools have offered Hamilton at this time.
"I really like Oklahoma at this time," said Hamilton. "They called me and said they are looking for a big running back and maybe I can be that big running back for them. I know they have a great team and a great program, but I really don't know too much about them. I will have to check them out and find out more about them."
"I am not leaning toward anybody at this time," said Hamilton. "I want to give everybody a chance, but Oklahoma is going to be very much in the picture."
Hamilton wants to wait until December and January to visit. He will take his SAT in October, but has a GAP of 3.3.
