RECRUITING: Big 'Mo' says OU will get visit

DeCatur, Illinois defensive tackle 'Mo' Dampeer talks about his interest in Oklahoma

JH: How is your season going thus far?

MD: "We are not off a great start as we are 1-2 on the year. We should be 2-1, but little things are hurting us. We are young but we are talented and things are beginning to turn around for us."

JH: How are you playing?

MD: "I am doing pretty good. Everything seems to be going pretty well. I have 30 tackles, 17 for a loss and four sacks thus far this season."

JH: Because of all your publicity, are teams paying more attention to you this year?

MD: "I think so. Last year I used to get double teamed a lot and now I am getting triple teamed. This allows the other players to make plays on our team."

JH: Have you set any visits yet?

MD: "No, I haven't yet, because I think I am going to wait until basketball season to set my visits. I still am trying to decide between seven or eight schools. I like Miami, Florida State, Oklahoma, UCLA, Southern Cal, Illinois and Purdue. Out of those schools I will take my five visits. I really don't have a favorite right now."

JH: What do you think about Oklahoma?

MD: "I love their defense. I like Coach Shipp and the other coaches are straight forward. Coach Shipp is strong and says what he means. I know I am going to get things straight from Coach Shipp. Coach Shipp is real smart and I really like him. Oklahoma is going to be one of the five schools that I visit, I am pretty sure."

Then he had to go because Southern Cal was on the other line.
