Cartier Martin, a 6-foot-7 small forward out of Houston (Aldine Nimitz HS) in Texas, will visit the University of Oklahoma on October 4.
Martin is considered one of the top forwards in the country and appears to have a solid interest in the Sooners. Martin has already visited Kansas State and Texas, and plans to visit Kentucky and Oklahoma State in addition to his visit to Norman.
The Sooners may be making up ground on Texas, as Martin visited the Longhorns last weekend and came away very impressed, but still plans his trip to Norman.
Martin is rated as the ninth best small forward nationally by TheInsiders.com and is considered as a top 50 prospect nationally by many services.
Oklahoma has one uncommitted scholarship left to give this fall. The Sooners already have commitments from top 100 prospects Andrew Lavender (5-4/PG/Columbus, OH) , Brandon Foust (6-7/SF/Columbus, OH) and Lawrence McKenzie (6-2/G/Minneapolis, MN).
