HOOPS RECRUITING: Guard impressed with visit

Fayetteville, Ark. guard Ronnie Brewer talks about his trip to Norman and his interest in OU

RONNIE BREWER, PG, 6'5, Fayettville West, Arkansas:

JH: How did your visit to Norman go?

RB: "It went pretty good. I had a chance to talk to the coaches a lot and a chance to get to know the players a little bit better. I also talked to the other recruits whoe were on their visits and they were having a great time as well. I had a chance to tour their facility and go to the football game and that was a great atmosphere."

JH: Did you learn anything about OU that you didn't already know on your visit?

RB: "It just gave me the opportunity to find out what OU had to offer as a total program. It gave me more of an in-depth look at Oklahoma and what their program was really like. While I was there I started to like them a little bit more as I got to know their players and coaches."

JH: What did you think about the Baseline Bash Saturday night?

RB: "It was a pretty good turnout. My Uncle Walter, who coaches at OKC Southeast, brought his kids to the game. I had an opportunity to talk to his kids and I really enjoyed that."

JH: What did you think of Norman as a college town?

RB: "It was real nice. I really didn't know what to expect when I got to Norman. I liked everything a great deal and I noticed that there was a lot of construction going on, which means they are moving up and improving all their facilities."

JH: Are you still taking a visit this weekend?

RB: "My next official visit is to UCONN this upcoming weekend. Then I will go to OSU the following weekend and then I am going to try to make a decision. Arkansas will also be in the mix. I took my first visit there."

JH: Do you have a leader?

RB: "I am still open, but I am starting to narrow things down somewhat. I have a lot of information to take in still, but I am beginning to clear some things out of my head."
