Sooners Grab 2 JUCO Commitments

After a lull in recruiting, Oklahoma is back on a roll. The Sooners picked up their third and fourth commitments in a week on Sunday when junior college safety David Sims and junior college linebacker Mike Balogun committed to Bob Stoops' staff.

Oklahoma helped fill a couple areas of need on Sunday when it picked up a pair of commitments from junior college football players.

Safety David Sims and linebacker Mike Balogun committed to the Sooners after making official visits to Oklahoma this weekend.

Sims (5-11, 205) just finished his first season playing safety at Butte Community College in California.

A four-star prospect with 4.38 speed, Sims racked up 73 tackles, three interceptions, six pass break-ups and four fumble recoveries for the Roadrunners. He played running back in his first season at Butte.

Balogun just finished up his sophomore season at Lackawanna Junior College in Pennsylvania.

Balogun (6-3, 250) possesses 4.6 speed.

The Sooners got in on Balogun late, but had to go after him when All-American Curtis Lofton announced he was leaving for the NFL.
