RECRUITING: Houston DE could leave the state

Houston, Texas defensive end John Williams talks about possible visits and his interest in OU

JOHN WILLIAMS, DE, 6-5, 220, 4.47, HOUSTON LAMAR, TEXAS:

JH: How is your season going?

JW: "I have played in five games thus far this season and I have 40 tackles and 13 sacks. I had a pulled groin and missed five games. As a team we are 6-2 on the season and will make the playoffs, because we are 3 -0 in district."

JH: Have you set any visits at this time?

JW: "I have set one visit with Oklahoma (1-17) and I am looking at Texas, Florida State, Notre Dame and I guess Nebraska."

JH: What is it about Oklahoma that you really like?

JW: "One of the things is that they offered me already. I also like the type of defense that they are running. It allows the defensive ends to make big plays and I can get a good education from there. We play a similar defensive scheme at Lamar."

JH: Do you have a favorite school at this time?

JW: "I don't have a favorite at this time. I don't mind going out of state if it works out that way. However, Oklahoma is a school that I am very interested in and I feel they have a great interest in me."
