RECRUITING: Florida athlete has interest in OU

Melbourne, Fla. athlete Joe Cohen says he has great interest in Oklahoma

JH: How is your season going?

JC: "We are starting to come together and getting things done as a team. We started out the season slow, but we always seem to start out the season slow. We have begun to come together, but a lot of people may not notice it. I have stayed healthy this season and I am in the best shape of my high school career. My stats are alright as I have 680 yards rushing at 8.2 yards per carry and 11 touchdowns through eight games. I haven't played linebacker on defense and I have been playing a little nose guard, because that is where I am needed in high school."

JH: You are actually playing more on offense than you are on defense, so do you feel you will be a fullback in college or do you still feel you will wind up on the defensive side of the ball?

JC: "I am finding out that I am being recruited as a running back or an athlete for the most part. There is no telling what position I would play at the next level. To be honest I am just hoping that I get the opportunity to play at the next level."

JH: How is recruiting going at this point?

JC: "I have taken one visit to LSU (10-1 and I really don't have another visit set up at this time. There is no telling where I might take my other visits. I am still talking to a number of schools. I am talking to all the Florida schools and I am still talking to Oklahoma."

JH: What are you thoughts on Oklahoma?

JC: "I have a great interest in Oklahoma, especially with the way they are playing right now. They are one of the best teams in the country. I think they like me at linebacker or defensive end, and that would be just fine with me."
