They started off an undefeated regular the season by representing the state of Oklahoma in the Herbstreit Ohio vs. USA Challenge with a 31-0 victory over a tradition rich Canton McKinley team.
After rolling through the regular season and the playoffs Union ran in to a Jenks team in the state championship that was hungry for revenge after they were knocked from the ranks of the unbeaten by the Redskins in week two.
Moore and his Union teammates have a lot to look forward to as they will return a balanced team that will feature a number of top level players who will be playing division one ball.
Moore's friend and teammate Jeremy Smith has already made a commitment to sign with Oklahoma State, but it may actually be another home-state school that steps up to the plate with an offer for Moore.
"I am hearing that I am going to possibly be getting an offer from Oklahoma real soon. I have been hearing it from a couple of coaches."
As you can imagine an offer from the Sooners would certainly grab Moore's attention.
"I was pretty excited," Moore responded when asked what he felt like when he heard that the Sooners could be closing in. "OU is a pretty good school. They are just a program that is known for winning."
If the Sooners were to offer Moore he admitted that it would most likely be at the receiver or H-back type of position, an because of his scary combo of size and speed he could cause the defense a lot of problems from that position.
"Probably more of a slot-back or receiver type," Moore said. "I do not know if I have the size that OU would be looking for in a tight end. They have Jermaine Gresham and he is like 6-7. I am going to be working hard on my speed."
Moore dose not have any set plans right now for any camps or unofficial visits, but he does have his eyes squarely on the prize. Right now he wants to concentrate on getting 100 percent qualified and then he will dive back in to the recruiting process.
"Right now I am really trying to study hard for the ACT," Moore admitted. "First things first I need to make sure everything is set academically."
Moore also informed that he could also be closing in on possible scholarship offers from OSU and TCU.
