Will Adams, a 6-foot-0, 190-pound wide receiver from South Grand Prairie High in Texas proved that he was a very dangerous offensive weapon at the UnderArmour/Scout.com Combine in Dallas and he did it again in the Plano seven-on-seven State Qualifying Tournament in Plano.
Due to the fact Adams has already been facing and having an abundance of success against top-level competition, there is no wonder he has yet another impressive day at OU camp.
"Yes sir, most definitely," Adams said when asked if he had kept his positive momentum going. "It went real good. I did real good up there."
"I met all of the coaches and I met Coach Jay (Norvell). He said that I did real good. He had me at receiver the whole camp so he could look at me some more."
"They said that they were very interested in me. They said that they might offer me a scholarship depending on what Coach (Bob) Stoops has to say."
Adams did not get to see a whole lot of the campus, but he is no stranger to OU, as he has been in before for one of the Junior Days.
"It looked good," Adams informed of the campus. "I came down here for a junior day. Everything there looked good."
That talented Adams enjoyed getting the chance to work one-on-one with OU's new wide receiver coach (Jay Norvell).
"He taught me a lot of things," Adams explained. "He taught me how to get off of the line better. He taught me how they do it in college. Overall he taught me how their stances are and how they do things."
Adams has current offers from Air Force and Central Florida and is also hearing from Missouri, Tulsa, and Louisiana Tech, but he definitely seems to have the most interest in an offer from the Sooners at this point in time.
"Right now they are sitting very high," Adams said of his interest in the Sooners. "I don't know for sure yet but I might commit (if an offer is extended)."
