Jordan Leslie, a 6-foot-3, 200-pound wide receiver from Tomball High in Texas was one of the top underclassmen at the Texas State Seven-on-Seven Championship, and as a matter of fact he had a coming out party by showcasing his skills during the event.
Even though he looked very good, he still feels like there is room for improvement.
"I feel I could play a lot better," Leslie said of his performance. "I could have helped us win those first two games of the tournament."
"Of course this (7-on-7 action) helps me develop my skills. It has helped me just going against better people, because we play in one of the toughest divisions."
Like many ‘new age' receivers he feels his ability to make plays on the ball is what separates him as one of the best.
"Going up to get the ball," Leslie explained when asked about his strengths. "Pretty much my jumping ability and coming out of my cuts."
"Actually playing the game I like Randy Moss, but not the after, the celebrations and all of that."
Leslie is already starting to hear from some colleges, but the interest is sure to heat up pretty quickly after people find out who is and what he has to offer.
With a list of heavy-hitters like that it will be interesting to see how Leslie's recruitment plays out.
