RECRUITING: Killebrew still thinking about visits

Houston linebacker Robert Killebrew is set for his first visit. But will he take a trip to Norman?

JH: I understand your high school team didn't make the playoffs?

RK: "We didn't make the playoffs because we were in an incredibly tough district. We had an undefeated team, a team that only lost one game and a team that only lost two. We lost three games and that didn't get us into the playoffs."

JH: What were your stats from this past season?

RK: "I still haven't had a chance to look at my statistics at this time."

JH: Are different college coaches still recruiting you at different positions?

RK: "Most coaches have been telling me that they are going to put me at defensive end so that I can rush the quarterback. I have been told as a freshman I might be a third down pass rushing defensive end. Other schools are recruiting me for an outside linebacker and even a couple of schools are talking to me as a strong safety. I like playing linebacker, but really I want to play a position where I can be the most active and do the most damage."

JH: What is your visit schedule?

RK: "I am going to UCLA this weekend. I am going to try to knock this visit out before I set my other four visits. I am looking at Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Tennessee, Florida and Miami. I think you can say that I will also visit Texas and Oklahoma for sure, probably sometime in December or late November.
