Johnson Has His Eye on Two

Mammoth Antonio Johnson is extremely athletic and should have the skills to be a highly recruited prospect from The "Lone Star State" in 2010. The Sooners have already started to send him some mail and are one of the two early favorites.

When watching a seven-on-seven or even a Friday night game for that matter a guy like Antonio Johnson, a 6-foot-6, 230 pounder, from Diboll High in Texas will certainly grab your attention

Guys his size are not usually out running routes and hauling in passes. While he has a high amount athleticism he admits that his future position in college is up in the air at this point.

"I don't know yet," Johnson said when asked about his position on the field. "I am just waiting for he scouts and coaches to tell me. Until then I am just going to work hard on both sides of the ball."

"On offense I am taller than everybody, so it is easy for the quarterback to throw it up to me. On defense it is easy for me to just shove the little guys down."

Johnson has already started to receive some recruiting interest.

"A little bit," Johnson responded when asked if colleges were recruiting him. "I get a couple of letters."

"Oklahoma and Kansas State are sending letters. There are few more as well, but those are the two main ones."

The Sooners interest has definitely caught his eye, but there is another program out there that he would like to hear from.

"I am liking Oklahoma right now, but I am waiting on some letters from LSU. I like their program too."

At this point Johnson has no plans for unofficial visits this fall, but is still hopeful to set some up.
